Who are the Ducks?

The San Diego County Delta Upsilon Alumni Association is composed of initiated brothers of the San Diego State University chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity as well as brothers from other DU chapters who are living in San Diego. The organization is managed by a board of directors and several committees that help facilitate the operations and growth of the organization.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and comply with all rules governing such bodies.

DU brothers are affectionately referred to by admirers worldwide as “Ducks.” The nickname originated in San Diego by a few brothers in the 60’s and has been adopted by Delta Upsilon chapters everywhere. To get a more colorful history of how the name originated, go here.
