Remembering Michael Judd

Brothers:
It is with a heavy heart I need to announce the passing of one of our beloved brothers.
Michael Judd ’72 tragically passed away, by a not fully understood accident on Tuesday July 5th. We do not have all the details but will share them with you at the appropriate time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Michael was one of the first Alumni I met at SDSU. While living in the house in 1976 (Mike was finishing his Masters’ Program and coaching swimming, female team of course) used to swing by the house during his regular runs. He invited me to join along, and over the course of that semester we shared many runs down 55th street, Remington Road, through the neighborhood west of campus then ultimately back up Montezuma Road. I could usually stay with Mike most of the run but he always stretched his lead up that forsaken hill. Believe me it was always a race. It is this memory I keep of Mike and recently shared with him at the 50th.
Brothers I know many of you who were fortunate enough to have met Mike over the years may have stories you to would like to share. Many of us may not be able to get back to his services (NC? unknown at this time) but his legacy should be shared with his family. If you have a great memory of Mike, a moment or just a fun story, lets share with our brothers. I would like to collect these memories and make sure they get delivered to his family. They should know the impact he had on so many of us brother of Delta Upsilon and San Diego State University.
Send them to info@sdsuducks.com we will be sending something in honor of him, I would like it to be from us all.
