It’s time to get your team together and submit your entry fee – the 2012 Tim McGee Memorial Wiffle Ball Tournament is here! I hear the Old Ducks have been practicing, which technically is against tournament rules, so be prepared for some fierce competition.
For those of you who haven’t participated, here’s the run down:
The game is kind of an over-the-line hybrid so you don’t have to run bases. In fact, any running at all is highly discouraged. And don’t worry about your waning athletic skills, we’re all in the same boat – some more than others.
Wiffle balls and bats will be provided and anyone is allowed to play including DUs, friends and family members. All you need to do is sign up and show up. We’ll provide the rest.
Individual entry is $30, or $90 for your team of three. If you don’t have a team, let us know and we’ll help put one together for you. We’ll supply the catered BBQ and libations as well and we’ll also have a hospitality suite right in front of the beach next to the tournament.
To pay your entry fee, just use the Pay Pal button to the right. If you can’t pay with Pay Pal, send Joe Duffel an email at jdxd@hotmail.com to let him know you’re playing. Don’t forget to bring cash or a check with you to the tournament.
We plan to get the first games going at 9:00am so try to be there a few minutes beforehand so we can go over the rules.
Don’t forget that the DU Annual Membership Meeting is being held the Friday evening before the tournament in the hotel, followed by happy hour in Moray’s Lounge.
